It is 25 December 2016 at 7 Holly Close, and you are the new neighbours from No. 14, invited round for Christmas dinner. Every time the crackers bang at 3 p.m., the day snaps back to 7 a.m. The Hartleys don't notice. You do.

Each loop, the house changes a little more, and whatever you found last time is gone. The only thing that carries over is the fridge, where your team pins its notes. Players split up across the lounge, the kitchen and the attic, describe what they see, and piece it together out loud. Nobody gets out alone, and most of the game happens in conversation.

It is a warm, funny family Christmas with a heavy dose of 2016 nostalgia: paper chains, patterned carpets, a sold-out toy and a gran who writes everything in fountain pen. No horror, no outside knowledge needed, and it plays well on any video call for teams of 4 to 10.

Step right up

How to play

  1. Step 1

    Join with one link

The host shares a link. Everyone opens it in the browser on their own screen, types a name and waits in the lobby. No download, no account for players.

  2. Step 2

    Look around the house

Drag to look around each room in 360 degrees. Glowing markers show things you can open. Move between rooms through the doorways.

  3. Step 3

    Share what you see

Anyone can open anything, and the whole team sees the same progress. Different people will see different things, so talk on the call and say what is in front of you.

  4. Step 4

    Write it on the fridge

The fridge board is a shared note board for the whole team. It is the one thing in the house that survives the reset.

  5. Step 5

    Beat the clock together

Some moments need several of you at once. If the team gets stuck, the host can send a nudge. You have about 60 minutes to reach Boxing Day.

One link for everyone
